So a while back I purchased a 3GS by adding an extra ATT line, and sice day 1 I've noticed that my 3G iPhones carry a better signal than the 3GS. The pictures below show both iPhones in field test mode. 3GS on Left, and the 3G on right. Both Phones have 3.1.2 with the 5.6 carrier update. Both phones have also just gone through a full restore.

I'm assuming that both phones are on the same cell tower since they have the same Cell ID. Note: Both Phones were sitting next to each other and the snapshots were taken at the same exact time.

My 3GS is reading -113 dB and the 3G is reading -103dB. That's a 10dB difference. Now my aircraft radar experience tells me that this seems like a fairly big span.

Do you guys think I have a weak 3GS or is this something normal. My 3GS will also spend a few minutes in Edge while the 3G is trucking along on the 3G network.
