3G Restore Fail

I'm using an iPhone 3G (firmware 4.2.1) and a PowerBook G4. I was attempting to jailbreak my phone using PwnageTool. It was going perfectly until I slid the slider bar on my phone while it was syncing to iTunes. I tried to do a restore to factory settings, but when I got to the finish, it gave me error 1015 for trying to downgrade firmware. I've tried to put it back into DFU mode, used QuickPwn on my friends MacBook Air to get it out of recovery. Since then I've received more 1015s, 1600s, 1604s, and a 2001. I really can't contact apple to get this fixed.
