3g S reserve question

So I reserved a 16 gig at my local apple store and now i have the cash for the 32 gig...whats the chance of me being able to grab a 32? is there a way i can buy the 16 and not activate it and hang out a while til all reserves are gone then swap it out?

It will all depend on what stock they have at your Apple Store. If you just reserved it and have not paid for it then they are not holding a model for you and therefore they will be happy to sell you the more expensive iPhone if they have it.
