I was in the speedtest.net app last night and all of a sudden the phone just reset to the boot logo. I left it for a little while thinking it would just restart, but it never got past the logo. When I plugged it into a charger, no charging symbol showed. I tried turning it off, but I could never tell if it was truly off because as soon as I plugged it into my computer the logo would appear (even when not trying to put into DFU mode).
I went to put it in DFU mode, but the iTunes and USB icons never appear. I eventually could get the phone into recovery mode while connected to iTunes and start the restore process, but after the install process shows 100%, iTunes still says waiting for iPhone. I have tried on my home and work computer and it is the same thing.
Anybody have this happen before or any tips other than the standard DFU mode recovery process?
I am thinking it is totally screwed since DFU is not even working and it doesn't even show the charging symbol. Didn't jailbreak so there is no possibility that that messed it up. Does AT&T replace with new phones if they have them in stock or do I have to go to Apple?
