3G service upgrade from ipad1 -> ipad2

I am considering an ipad2, but I have the AT&T unlimited service with my 64G/3g ipad1. I hope that they will announce if you can transfer your unlimited service to the new ipad. Or, can you just exchange the SIM card? It would be nice to sell ipad1 before ipad2 gets released though. In that case, I would not be able to exchange SIM cards.

Simplest is buy ipad2, swap SIM cards. Sell ipad1. To sell ipad1 before getting the ipad2, you'd have to sell it without a SIM or possibly take the SIM out and go to your carrier and get/buy a new SIM. If you explain the situation they may well do it with little or no fee.
