3g speed vs tethering speed.! Rogers

I use speedtest on iphone to check my rogers speed on the 3g network.
I get DL speed of .81mb and upload speed of .15mbps

Now im testing using new 13"macbook pro tethered to same 3g phone.
I get Dl speed of 2.44mbps and upload speed of .15mbps.

I love the tethering since it makes my macbook load pages quite fast as if im on wifi.
Also, note im not even in the city but out in the country near rural area.

This is great.
