I read this in the following article:

If it is true that data and voice are separate, does this mean that one can purchase and activate a 3g iphone and not purchase a data plan allowing one to be limited to wifi? If so, I would think about the 3g and sell my itouch because I would essentially have an i-touch with a camera and phone.
