3G vibration issue

I did something stupid, don't make fun of me.

I took apart my iphone 3G to replace the case in the back. Did everything, except now I have an extra piece, and it doesn't vibrate. The phone works great, I can toggle between vibrate and sound, and that works, it just does not vibrate, and it worked before I fiddled with it. Please help, or direct me to a forum that could help. Thanks.

how about you put that back where it belongs and you will vibrate again...looks like the piece that grounds the vibrate motor
