it seems odd to me that the 3g ipods had completely touch sensitive controls, while the newer ipods have buttons which one actually depreses (center button)... does anyone know of a reason for this change? would the 3g button function not be possible with the layot of the buttons on the scroll wheel?

I dont find it odd all and im glad apple got rid of touch sensitive controlls. they were but a pain in the butt. For 1, using my friends 3g ipod, i never liked how i had no feedback that im doing something. Or that i would brush up across the face and it would do somthing i didnt want. I like to knowwhat im doing. As for adding it to a current ipod. it would not work with how the buttons are now on the wheel itself now. Would get real old if all you want to do is chage the volume and the ipod thing you wanted to go to the next/previous song. bad idea
