Hi - probably a common thread but every machine seems to be a tad different.
I bought my machine from the UK mac store in summer 06 - the info says:
version 10.4.11
processor 2 ghz Intel Core Duo
2gb 667 mhz DDR2 SDRAM
I wanted to upgrade to 3gb as I heard this could support that much ram so I bought a 2gb module - Buffalo select 667 DDR2 SDRAM.
I put it in one of the ram slots the right way round and the mac refused to boot - i replaced the old 1GB module and back to normal.
Am I out of luck or is it defective RAM?
thanks for any advice
