Resolved 3GS 3.1.2 upgrade to 4.3.3 can be unlocked?

I would like to upgrade to 4.3.3 and maintain unlocked. How can I do this? Are there any compromises that I have to take? For example, I will not be able to use GPS and such?

In short, unless you have your SHSH blobs saved, you can't
