3gs 3.1.3 05.12.01 with 359.3.2

Hello All,

Need your help please !!! :apple:

I have Iphone 3gs:

version: 3.1.3
modem firmware: 05.12.01
bootrom: 359.3.2

Used f0recast v1.3 and it says

baseband: 05.12.01
bootloader: 6.4_M3S2
Model: MC138

Jailbreakable?: YES (with Star/Jbme)
Unlockable?: YES -(use ultrasn0w)

According to the link below, I will be able to jailkbreak and unlock. Although, an original sim card needs to be insert. Could I use my working at&t from my sister to activate and then jailbreakme along with ultrasn0w to unlock?
Also, is it untethered jailbreak or must be tethered every reboot?

If you can access to the home screen of your phone, then you do not need original sim to activate.

All you have to do is go to safari and use Jailbreakme.com to jailbreak it and then unlock with ultrasn0w. Make sure to turn off 3G if you plan to use it with T-Mobile sim.
 
^^you mean I do not need to activate after jailbroken to unlock?

Is it untethered or tethered?

Also, do I must use itune 9.2.1 or it can be the current version?

1. Yes, you do not need to activate after jailbreak/unlock.
2. If you keep your phone at 3.1.3, it will be untethered.
3. You don't even need to use Itunes to do this.

Yes, ignore that message. Here is what you need to do to jailbreak and unlock your phone.

1. Make sure your phone connect to wifi. Open Safari on your phone and type in www.jailbreakme.com
2. Follow its instruction and it will jailbreak your phone to install Cydia on your phone.
3. Open Cydia, few messages come up, just click on user, and update essential when it asks you.
4. In Cydia, click on "Manage", "Sources", "repo666.ultrasn0w.com", "ultrasn0w", then install it.
5. Once it completes and reboot your phone, go to setting, turn off 3G, pop in your T-Mobile sim and enjoy your phone.

Add source.

When I click on T-Mobile US MMS fix, it shows install, but it says for IOS4. Should be ok with that?
 
It did not.
No camera icon is displayed.
What is the next step I should do please.

Upgrade your phone to 4.1. Use sn0wbreeze (if you have PC) or Pwnage tool (if you have mac) to cook a 4.1 customs firmware, the use Itunes to restore/upgrade your phone to that firmware.

Once you done, just use limera1n, Greenpois0n or redsn0w to jailbreak it, then unlock with ultrasn0w.

The reason you want to restore to the customs firmware because you want to reserve the baseband on your phone. If you restore it to Apple 4.1 firmware, then your phone baseband will also upgrade to 05.14 which can't be unlocked with ultrasn0w. This is very important.

No upgrade so far...:p
Having removed the Tmobile MMS Mix from Pushfix.infor, then added sinfulphone repo, and installed Sinful Tmobile MMS Mix from there.
After installed, all of the the fields are emptied in cellular data network.

With below settings, I was able to send and receive MMS now from all carriers :p :

first
APN: internet2.voicestream.com
second
APN: ept.tmobile.com
third
APN: ept.tmobile.com

No numbers were need to fill hehehe

For some reasons if it does not receiving, re-install sinful tmobile mms mix, then reboot. Couple reboots would take to the point whom you want to annoy by using MMS :p

I do sincerely appreciate for all the helps and contributions here.
