My old bootrom iPhone 3GS crashed so badly I was forced to update to 3.1.3. Anyway, many people have successfully jailbroken and unlocked their 3.1.3 old bootrom 3GSs.

Unfortunately, when I use PwnageTool on Mac, it doesn't recognize my iPhone. I can put it into recovery mode myself, but I get the 1604 error when trying to restore it with my custom firmware.

Same with Sn0wbreeze - I get the 1601 error.

Redsn0w - tried it on both Windows XP and Mac OS 10.6, no luck. I get a black screen and nothing happens.

iReb doesn't support 3GS iPhones (I'm talking about the white/red screen, which is supposed to eliminate the 16xx problems).

Blackra1n doesn't support 3.1.3.

Older firmware is 'not eligible for requested build'.

I didn't grab my SHSH...

What should I do?

I think you are out of luck, just as I am when I updted to 3.1.3 without knowing that it would eliminate the jailbreak. If anyone else out there knows otherwise, please share!
