I use my phone pretty much all day at work and sometimes need to even charge it at my desk. When I get home I plug it on to my computer or wall charger and let it sit until about 9 or 10pm. I noticed that when I got up this morning around 6:15am it went down to 92%. Is this normal or is this because 3.1 is horrible?

same for me on my 3G, I had almost a full battery (according to the statusbar) rebooted my iphone as I went to sleep to apply apn changes woke up and battery was dead

According to your profile your's is jailbroken. Mine is completely stock and never jailbroken...anyone else run into these problems?

1% an hour on standby doesn't sound bad to me. I have everything turned on and when I'm at my office or another place with coverage that is always on/off, I get worse than that.

I get the about the same 1-2% per hour. It used to be 1% but increased slightly after 3.1. I have a 3gs 32 gig and leave push and wifi on but not location services.

The solution to your problem is easy. Turn off the percentage meter. 1-2 percent while idle is more than fine. The only reason you're noticing any drain is because you're looking at the percentage meter (as opposed to just looking at the battery icon)

I sleep at midnight, wake up at 7AM, the most I lose is 10% overnight in standby...seems OK to me.

32GB stock 3.1 iphone.

I downgraded last night to 3.0.1 and my battery barely drained overnight so I really don't see how being jailbroken had anything to do with it
