Hi, i have a iphone 3gs old bootrom. What are my option to as updating it with keeping the unlock and getting a jailbreak?

The iphone 3gs 3.1 cydia keeps crashing upon clicking it.

3gs 3.0.1 Modem=04.26.08

I was following a guide with snowbreeze and making a custom file and using that with iTunes to update to 5.1 but itunes keeped throwing error messages, yes i googled them

What is your unlock method ? Ultrasn0w ?
If so, you either have a preserved baseband or iPad baseband, both which require a custom or No_BB IPSW.
