I got a Iphone 3GS and am having a hard time trying to restore to 4.3.3.
I made a custom IPSW for 4.3.3 with Snowbreeze. I am unsure of the current version cause the owner forgot the passcode and the PC where he synced died. I am trying to restore to 4.3.3 and not regular restore to 5.0.1 with Itunes, because I want to preserve the baseband.

I have been trying with Itunes 10.1 under 7 (32 bit and 64 bit) and Tiny Umbrella but keep getting error 3194. I have tried commenting out in the host file 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com.

If I set the host as 127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com I get a 2500 error.

do you have 4.3.3 shsh blob saved in TU? make sure your using the server,
use iFaith to get the blob if you dont have it
if that doesnt work use redsn0w to make a stitch blob firmware, works great

Used iFath to get the SHSH, which aperently had 5.0.1, So I stiched it with the ISPW and Restored with Itunes.

THANKS! :D
