3gs 4.3.1 with 05.16.02 bb, best way to unlock?

I am planning on buying locked iPhone 3gs on craigslist tomorrow which runs 4.3.1 os with 05.16.02 bb. What is the best way to unlock it?

My plan is to use redsnow to jailbreak and to downgrade bb to ipads 06.15 Then use ultrasnow. Does this sound like a good plan or should I do something different?

The Gevey Sim is only for the iPhone 4.

To unlock the 3GS you're buying, you'd have to upgrade the baseband to 6.15, then unlock with ultrasn0w.

Unless those factory unlock things open up again, your only option is to install the iPad baseband and use ultrasn0w. There is a chance you'll lose your GPS though.

The iPad bb won't allow you to update via iTunes. You will only be able to update via custom firmware.

Unless those factory unlock things open up again, your only option is to install the iPad baseband and use ultrasn0w. There is a chance you'll lose your GPS though.

It's a pretty low chance that your GPS would become unusable though, In my opinion because i have done well over 10 unlocks with this and every phone has had gps functionality in it. i did a mix of 3G and 3GS unlocks.
