3GS Activation Question

My iPhone 3GS came in the mail today, so I plugged it into iTunes and set everything up. The screen never came up with the AT&T activation info. I was wondering if I had to do anything else while apparently waiting for my phone to "activate"?

It said "awaiting activation" when I turned it on...and displays "No Service" while my iPhone 2G shows bars of activated service.

I'm clueless here as well. I was never prompted with a screen to activate my phone.

It just says, "waiting on activation" on the iphone.

I know that giant thread is up there, but it seems OP and I are retarded and we need more help.
