3GS and Jawbone

Can not link the "new" Jawbone (i.e. second gen) with 3GS. Works with 3G and my 3GS works with my car. Therefore it is in pairing mode and my phone's bluetooth works. Reset headset and phone. No luck. Suggestions?

I put my 3G and 3GS side-by-side and jawbone in pairing-mode... only the 3G sees the jawbone.
