3gs camera focus rattle

Advice needed on if I should send my phone in for service.

When the camera is opened, there is a pretty loud rattle as the camera is focusing. The threads I searched in discussed a rattle when the phone is tapped near the camera, or the rattle when the phone is shaken and the silent switch is on. This is not the rattle noise I have.

There's no rattlecwhen the phone is flat or when gently tapped near the camera. Rattle is when the camera is focusing.

Anyone else have this? What to do???

Phone is 3gs, purchased new on launch day last year.
