I'll be picking up a lower capacity 4G for myself and an entry level iPhone for my wife who doesn't care much about which model she gets.

I'm thinking this will cost 400 beans, am I right?

walmart sold out of the 3G model a few weeks back and so now it is currently selling the 16gb iPhone 3GS model for $99 (if the rumors are true, I don't shop at walmart, so I can't verify that this is true).

so if your wife doesn't care what model she gets, you can try going to a local walmart store that sells iPhones today.
