Hi

so i have iphone 3gs with old bootrom running 3.1.2 Baseband 05.11.07, i jailbreak and unlocked it using Blackra1n and ultrasn0w. what's the best way to upgrade it to 5.0.1 without lossing the unlock?

should i upgrade using custom firmware of 5.0.1 right away? or what should i do?

Thanks

Create a custom 5.0.1 using redsnow.
Update using that no_bb ipsw and then again use redsnow to JB and install ultrasnow to unlock.
Whatever you do make sure you dont update to stock 5.0.1 and lose that unlockable baseband you have saved.

thanks for the reply

will I face any issue in using the iphone after having new firmware "5.0.1" with old baseband together?
