Hi

I have a 3gs, I use as a touch around the house as I have got a 4, recently i have noticed the home button is sticky/unresponsive. It won't respond if I press it, have to press home button 2 or 3 times for it to work.

I am just updating it to IOS 5 and doing restore, will this work?
Is it worth taking to Apple to see if I can get it replaced?

Looks like the home button is going bad. Upgrading the OS won't help fix that. If you plan on using it going forward then take it to apple and have the home button replaced.

I had the same issue with my 4. I got a small bottle of isopropyl solution from eBay which made it like new again. Loads of guides online recommend it.
