My 3GS (4.2.1, JB, 16GB) is convinced that it's connected to a dock almost all the time. I know this because it pops up the message about the dock not being compatible and so not working properly.
It's annoying because i cannot use headphones to listen to music. I try the trick where you unplug and plug back in to get the output back to the headphones but it seems to reset into thinking it's in a dock about every 15 seconds or so.
Battery life is down to >4 hours because of this. that's not acceptable, and i can't listen to music.
Is there something wrong with the dock connector? how do i fix it?
