3gs jailbreak, what type apps will it use ?

Not sure I understand how a Jailbreak relates to Apps.
Do I understand the following correctly ?

1. A non-jailbreak 3GS will use only Apple iphone Apps. yes/no
2. A jailbreak 3GS will use "iphone" apps and "Windows Mobile apps." yes/no
3. Other that iphone, and Windows Mobile, are there other types of Apps? yes/no.

I am looking for a document scanner app, and have found "Just Not" and "Doc Scanner" at http://itunes.apple.com. Have also found freeware Windows Mobile apps. I would like to know if I could use some of these freeware Apps.

Sorry, but I need this fundamental info in order to clarify some info.

Thanks

  1. Jailbroken or not the iPhone will only run apps created for the iPhone, jailbroken apps are apps that are not available under the Apple App Store but are designed speciffically for the iPhone
  2. iPhone cannot run Windows Mobile apps jailbroken or not
  3. You can only run iphone apps, there are also "Web apps" but these are just websites designed for the iphone.
