3GS just shuts down completely?

I noticed 2 days ago that my phone was malfunctioning. I could not hear any audio and it was taking an extremely long time to even get the phone to turn on.

Now, it just completely died. It won't charge, won't show up in iTunes when I plug it into my MacBook, nothing.

WTF?

Software glitch from the sounds of it. Had that and they just replaced right on the spot.....
