3gs LCD Replacement

I need to replace JUST the LCD screen on my 3GS. I have a new digitizer specifically for the 3gs (the ribbon is different than the one on the 3g).

Will the 3G LCD suffice? I dont have a 3g lying around to test. The ribbons appear similiar...but, Im having trouble finding LCD screens specific to the 3gs.

TL;DR : I want to affix a 3GS digitizer to a 3G LCD, and install them in a 3GS....will this work?

NOPE it wont work! if you want there is a company in california that keeps contacting me wanting me to buy parts from them (I repair iPhones) but all they sell are used parts. you can get the screen, lcd, and frame already put together for $65 on 3g and $100 on 3Gs. I dont know anything about these guys good or bad so you are at your own risk but it is www.parts4pc.com or you can get a new 3gs lcd for about $100 by itself

he is talking about the lcd not the digitizer!
