Is replacing LCD for iphone 3gs really as easy as it looks in the videos out there? Had water damage at the pool this weekend and while the phone still works, the screen is not lit up. If you hold it toward the light I can still see my apps and everything seems to work ok now.

So I'm guessing I need to replace LCD? I've seen deals for LCD for 3GS for $40 to $70. Anyone know a solid place to purchase it? I saw on zeetron a tool kit for $2, I'm guessin that's best deal for kit?

Thanks,

Scott

It probably has alot more damage than just the LCD.
Water damage is serious and can effect many components of the phone.
If you start buying parts and keep replacing them it might cost more than the $199 replacement that you can get from Apple.
Up to you though.

The water damage isn't that bad though as everything works accept for the screen not being bright.
