Hi guys, i know this has been mentioned before and i've tried all the things posted and it's still not sorted.

Basically, my 3GS no longer appears in my computer as a device, On my Vista laptop. but is still availble in iTunes and i can sync ect.

-I've tried restoring my device (from Back-up & as a fresh phone)
-I've uninstalled everything to do with Apple/iTunes
-Deleted the Apple Mobile Device drivers ect, then plugged the phone in, it re-installed and did nothing.
-Done the thing in Device Manager when removing
-And lastly did the suggestion of services.msc

It's doing my head in and i've been using iPhone Browser in the mean time, but it's not the same

Any help before i throw my phone at Apple?

You try a few different USB ports?
Do you hear that sound when you plug it in the computer?

Yes, tried all four, and tried another Apple USB cable.
Yes it makes the sound when plugged in.

If i plug the phone in after deleting Mobile Device, it comes up saying that 'Digital Still Camera - Failed' but that disappears before i can do anything about it.

Sounds like a bad driver installed on that particullar machine for the 3GS iphone.

Have any idea what i can do? It's strange how iTunes recognises it, just not the camera side of it.

I forgot to mention that i also uninstalled my USB drivers but this made no difference either :(
