3GS on IOS 5 Problem

I just restored my partners 3GS to IOS5 GM.

Started with an error so retried it. This time appears to of worked sort of.

Got as far as the restore to old backup or new device. Wouldn't let me restore to a backup though?

So she's not lost all contacts and photos etc?

If I remember correctly you needed to set up as a new phone for it to work perfectly IU could be mistaken though.

How long did it take for your iphone 3GS to restore? and are you a developer?

how did you manage to restore to 5.0? and what were you using? windows 7? mac? I am experiencing issues.

set up as new device and right clicked and restored backup.

using mac os lion on my air .. my iPhone 4 has been fine .. it was the 3GS that experienced problems

I have GM on my 3GS and it's too sluggish compared to 4.3. Has anyone figured out how to downgrade? I kept getting 1015 errors when downgrading from beta 7, and I was wondering of it is possible on the GM
