3GS screen goes black w/white lines randomly

About 3 weeks ago my 3GS started giving me a black screen with white horizontal lines in it I have to push the power button and it would restart with the apple symbol it's starting to occur more often. But it doesn't seem to do it as much when it's plugged in. I have already restored my phone to no avail.
