3GS seperating rear panel and bezel

I just got a 2nd hand 3gs and it has the typical cracks near the dock port. I want to replace the rear panel now. So my question is, is it possible to remove the chrome bezel from my old rear panel? Saves me a few bucks since all the back replacements on ebay dont come with a bezel. :p
 
You can but it's a bit of a PITA because it's attached to the rear case by some sort of rubber cement. Just take your time and go around the perimeter with a spudger and you should be good to go.
