I recently had my iPhone 3GS replaced due to a defective mic. However, since I got it replaced I have been getting signal drops when I hold the phone normally. I know this is apparently an issue with all phones like the iphone 4 issue, but i'm pretty sure it did NOT happen on my old 3GS.

Should I return it or is it the same on all 3GS models?

Does your new 3GS have 4.01? If so, the "corrected" bar to signal algorithm may make it seem like you are getting less signal. Unless you're having actual call quality degradation or more dropped calls, it may be a non-issue. You could always get a replacement and see if the same thing happens.

It happened before i updated to 4.0.1
