My 32gb 3GS is stuck in a constant restore loop: USB and iTunes logo appear, iTunes says the phone is in recovery mode and will need to be restored. I go through the restore procedure and the phone pops up in iTunes with the same message. Have tried going into DFU mode as well (I think--is there any way to verify?) with no luck.
This phone is all Apple and iTunes--not jailbroken. Not sure of the exact OS but it is 4.0 or greater. The other day the home button seemed not to work (would not kick back to home screen from any app) but there were no hard/software modifications immediately prior to this. I'm about to head down to the Apple store. Any tips would be appreciated.
