hey everyone..kinda in a bind right now. My 3GS had a run in with the ocean on vacation last week and i found out im not eligible for an upgrade till september. Instead of buying one with no contract for a stupid amount of money, i was thinking of using my older 2G that still kinda works(ringer is broken). I tried to swap the sim card, but the 2G just reads NO SIM. is there another step i gotta do? or different firmware update i gotta download?
I really dont wanna get a different phone or use a pre-paid till then because i still have my unlimited data plan, and i dont wanna lose it.
