3GS to Korea. Advice?

I'm going to Korea with my unlocked iphone 3gs this weekend for the next year.

Anyone know if it's as simple as in Europe, just pop the prepaid in? Are the rates just as cheap?

Last time I went, the iPhone was not officially out in Korea so plans were impossible to get. I ended up just signing up a new service.

Please let us know what you did after you get there.
I am going again later this year and would love to know.
