Pretty crazy if it is true. Certainly opens up a world more of possibilities say if you are plugged in you can run it at full clock speed.....and we thought it was fast as is.

It's appropriately clocked given the phone's needs and constraints.

The 2G and 3G are underclocked as well. They're both 600Mhz capable but run at 412Mhz.

Why do we have to go through this every time? Yes it's underclocked, most likely for battery/heat reasons, but the phone blows awaythe old ones by a large margin as it is. It's not a problem.

It's more like 90%.

The article says the CPU is running at 600 MHz while the CPU's native speed is 667 MHz, but it is capable of running at 833 MHz.

The 833 MHz maximum theoretical speed probably doesn't allow for use in a mobile phone.

It is not the same. Different processor. Mhz do not matter.
