When my phone is in vibrate mode, and I squeeze the top left corner of the phone, it begins to vibrate. It also does this arbitrarily while the phone is in my pocket, which of course leads to quite a bit of confusion on my part. This happened to my first 3GS, which I got replaced while it was in warranty. Any ideas as to what I can do to solve this problem since I am now OUT of warranty?

This problem generally happens when you drop the phone too much or play with the silent switch too much. I think it has to do with a part being broken/worn out or a loose screw. The only way to remedy the issue that I can see is to pull the phone apart and tinker (if you're tech savvy).

I'm due for an update for my phone but I would kill myself if I went in and got an iPhone 4 just to have the new one come out 2 months later .... I might just stick it out.
