3GS Wait Time From ATT

I orded my 3gs a last week and it did not say that it was out of stock. I just called today and they told me its backordered (thanks for letting me know ATT!!!!) anyway, i inquired about cancelling it because I see they are in stock at my local apple store. The rep said I cant cancel at this point. Just curious if anyone else was in the same boat recently and how long im gonna have to wait
