I been messing around a bit and here are some speedtest results:

On my Macbook Pro via Time Capsule 802.11n
Latency:79ms
Down:4263 Kb/s
UP:189 Kb/s

Both iPhones via Airport Express 802.11g

3GS
Latency:299ms
Down:982 Kb/s
UP:267 KB/s

1st Gen.
Latency:99ms
Down:3102 Kb/s
UP:435 Kb/s

Pretty consistant results when doing them back to back to the same server. Of course the 3GS still loads pages quicker or equal to the the orig. iPhone because of the hardware. Anyone else try some tests to see any differences?

My 3GS wifi speed is absolutely amazing!!

I'm getting about 1500 kbps with my 3GS, and about 500 kbps with my 3g using wifi..

over the air 3G speeds are coming up much faster on my 3gs also... It's been well worth the upgrade for me with these speed increases....

Yeah -- 3G S wifi speed is blowing away my 3G iPhone.

I have a 20 mbps/5 mbps fios line and the 3G never got above 7500 kbps but I'm consistently getting 17,000 kbps download and it's nearly maxing my upload at 4700 kbps.

My Mac on the same wifi network is getting 21,000 kbps/4900 kbps.

Wonder what the heck is going on then? For me the 3GS is always the slower device by quite a bit. Testing devices back to back one at a time to same server.....

EDIT: When I set up the 3GS I set it up as a new phone. I did not apply the backup from my old phone.
