3GS with ios 4 T-Mobile problems!

Hi, I have a 3GS with the latest software update on T-mobile and I cant set the internet settings,

I have tried, Settings> General> Network>
but then there is only: Enable 3G, Mobile Data, Data Roaming, Setup HotSpot, VPN and Wi-Fi

There is not the edge or cellular network?? option everybody says there should be.

When not connected to wifi, The iphone is painfully slow on the internet and downloading apps!

Can anyone help me please?

If it make you feel better, I dont see those options either.
