3GS with iPhone OS 3.1 *Beta*

Just bought myself a SEXXXXY 16Gb iPhone 3GS (black, naturally Wink) and, as an ADC member, felt COMPELLED to install the Beta of iPhone OS 3.1 (minor update).

I love the new "Save a copy" feature, which allows non-destructive edits of captured movies:

Hoping they iron out the rather messy, but not so terrible icon bug, where ALL my springboard app icons vanish!. I'll report back, guys.

DO NOT TRY THIS *UNLESS* YOU ARE AN ADC MEMBER AND HAVE ADDED THE DEVICE UDID - YOU WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE!.

[EDIT] I'm silly - forgot to add my UDID to ADC *before* I upgraded to 3.1 Beta... fortunately I worked out how to get the UDID hex from XP device manager... PHEW!!. How to do this, below:

The point if this thread is that the OP wanted to show off that he got 3.1 before everyone else, and also wanted to announce that he is a tool for not registering his UDID before he loaded it. Geesh give him a break.

Who says the "net" these days anyway. We all know its the intraweb....

So I'm excited about my purchase, and wanted to give my viewpoint on 3.1 Beta... why does there always have to be SOME smug **** who wants to come along and spoil someone's party?. It's nothing to DO with being British matey, it's to do with the fact that you just couldn't resist making a smug comment, due to your detemination to have the upper hand, and appear "better" than me, in some way.

You're really ignorant for shunning a whole country like that, and for something as ridiculously petty as a post on HERE?. Grow up.
 
I believe the 3.1 Beta is still under NDA so as an ADC member you shouldn't be discussing it.

Agreed. Hope he didn't use his home or iPhone connection to post the screenshots for his sake, since his IP address is tracked and he could be in for some trouble.
 
Why are some of you on this forums such *******s? They guy was excited and posted a thread. Don't go in and read it if you don't want to but no need for your stupid comments. Some of you really need to get friggin lives.

I think you'll find "Save a copy" is a widely known feature. Thanks for the warning, however. I'm revealing NOTHING that cannot be found on a Google hit or 1,000. :D
