So I have 21 short family moves I made using iMovie on my Mac, and they used to appear on my iMovie App on Apple TV (3rd gen, from year 2013). Now they are GONE, I access the app and NO MOVIES I made I displayed. After being with Apple on the phone twice for over an hour, the solution is to send a message to engineering team and call me back next week. Yikes. I wonder if it's gonna be more troubleshooting or they are just gonna tell me to buy a NEW Apple TV?!

I wonder what's less time-consuming and is a better investment:
1. buy a new Apple TV (is it gonna work with my current Mac version 10.11.6)? Is it gonna break down again in a few years? Am I going to be spending time AGAIN trying to fix this?
2. buy a new SMART TV WITH a USB port and use a FLASH DRIVE to watch my homemade movies.

Currently I have 21 movies (made within 2 years), and the number is rising quickly.

good option, but the pic is blurry (wireless connection is not the best, and i dont wanna be paying more than my 62$/month for higher speed internet

Do you really have enough iCloud Storage for all that?

What I'd do is export the iMovie projects, put them in iTunes, and just go through it that way. With iTUnes Home Sharing enabled all should be well and good.

I don't think you should go out and buy something new if you're otherwise satisfied. That makes no sense to me

yeah, they are short movies, mp4, not mov format.
how do I put them on iTunes? I am not very iTunes savvy...I have iTUnes version 12.6

Export them to disk and just drag them into the folder "Automatically add to iTunes", or the Home Movies folder (both inside the iTunes folder)
Thank you!!

Wow, it worked, thx!!! Now, how many home videos do I have space for? I think I am paying 99cents/month for 50GBfor iCloud sotrage. If my home videos exceed 50GB will I be notified to purchase more storage so my home movies don't disappear?

When you do it over the iTunes method, it's not necessary to have them on iCloud as long as you have your Mac/iTunes computer on the same wi-fi as your Apple TV, so no. The iCloud storage space was however necessary for iMovie Theatre
And glad to have helped
