is there any way to get 3rd party app notifications to clear from the notification center once you check them?

for instance i'm selling something on ebay and get an alert that i got a message. if i go to ebay either through the icon or the notification center and check the message the notification still listed in notification center.

native apps such as mail and messages dont do this.

is there a fix or is this a flaw in ios5

In my experience, checking a notification via the Notification Center does clear the notification however I have not tested this with eBay. Perhaps it's app-specific (i.e. something the developer needs to address)?

it also happens with springpad. only 2 apps i've tried it with

My ESPNScoreCenter sticks around even if i check it. However thats the only one i've had issues with. I'm sure that the app just needs an update to be completely compatible for iOS 5 then it should work just fine.
