3rd Party Apps & OS6 new Apple Maps App

Currently using iPhone 4 w/OS5 and have many 3rd party Apps that use the Google Maps App to identity location information, such as the nearest Starbucks store.

Does the OS6 new Apple Maps App work with 3rd Party Apps like the Starbucks store locator feature?

Not exactly sure about the starbucks app as I don't have it, but other map related apps have been updated and seem to use the apple maps rather then the google maps. (Yelp, Realtor.com, Accuweather)

Starbucks App Maps

I have been searching the forums and cannot seem to find too many Posts on this but on the iPhone 5 with iOS 6 the Starbucks app is still opening web based Google maps? This seems crazy.
