I'm a web developer and I work a lot with Content Management Systems. I generally develop these locally. All of them live within the Sites directory. From there there, the files trickle down in a long line of sub directories. I'm spending more time then i'd like toggle folders.

Making aliases on the desktop is helpful, but I'm looking for a solution that is maybe a little more streamlines or at the very least, a little more tidy then loose aliases on the desktop. I'm OCD about organization, and a cluttered desktop is the cardininal sin. :)

As a partial solution look at Apache's VirtualHost option, which will let you keep the web files from having to be put deep within your Sites folder.
