If you use 3rd party keyboard, you know it's not available from lock screen if you have passcode or touchID enabled.
Okay, this is not an iOS 10 problem. But with iOS focusing so much on lock screen, I tend to reply to messages and emails directly from lock screen much more often.
So far the issue is that the stock keyboard, which i deleted in the setting and replaced it with Gboard, is the only option at lock screen. And it does not have emoji button. Basically it's password keyboard.
It's been around since iOS 8, but with the popularity of lock screen and 3rd party keyboard, I wonder if Apple is going to address this issue.
[UPDATE] okay, here is the work around:
1. disable "rest finger to unlock" in accessibility. This is disabled by default.
2. Rest finger on the home button to unlock the phone, but dont press the button so it will stay in lock screen.
3. Now use quick reply.
This way since the phone is unlocked, 3rd party keyboard will be available.
