When I use google keyboard or swiftkey... the keyboard keeps switching back to the apple stock one, and I keep having to press the globe icon to switch it back to google keyboard, etc. Happens all the damn time.

Why ? is this fixed yet?

Also, has swiftkey fixed their crappy keyboard?

In my experience, 3rd party keyboards and iPhones don’t mix. Some will say their fine, others will say their awful. I’m of the latter opinion, I’ve tried to persevere but I always come back to the default keyboard in the end.

If im not mistaken (I stopped using 3rd parties long ago), you can set the 3rd party as the only keyboard so that it doesn’t switch back and forth. At that point the only time the default keyboard will show is in global search and certain password fills.

Yeah, I think that's correct - you can delete the default keyboard from your system, which would set a third party keyboard as your default by, er, default.

I actually like SwiftKey on my iPad Mini because it lets me swipe type, which, IIRC, the Apple keyboard only lets me do if I turn it into that one-handed mini version.
