OP is referring to the cost that apple charges for their ram upgrade.
and I agree, only idiots pay that much.

the product description on newegg says that the RAM is compatible with "all macbooks" however, a couple reviewers say it wasn't compatible with the new white macbook.

Please, has anyone had any luck with 3rd party RAM. cheaper than the overpriced apple store RAM.
