I have a great, ancient eMac that runs 10.2.8. I also have a Macbook and an Airport Extreme with an attached hard drive. Of course the Macbook connects to the wireless networked drive with no problem. Everything I have is stored on that external drive and I want to be able to access those files from the eMac.

Is there any way to get around the wireless hard drive problem without buying a software upgrade? I don't want to have to do that. I was hoping there might be a third party solution or some tweak I'm overlooking.

Definitely appreciate the help.

Well the first issue is going to be that your eMac probably has an ancient wireless card that only does a/b. I may be wrong though. However, I thought you needed wireless n to use Airport Extreme's Networked drive features...
